Metropolitan Robbery Unit are reappealing and released footage from a camera mounted in a car of an armed robbery in Bonnyrigg last month.
About 1pm (Monday 27 July 2015), the owner of an Asian grocery store on Brown Road was out the back of the premises taking delivery of stock.
A female staff member was inside the store standing at the front counter when two men entered, both armed with machetes.
As one of the men approached the counter, the young woman ran out the back door to safety.
One of the armed men walked behind the counter and grabbed two green shopping bags containing an amount of cash, while the second man kept watch at the front door.
Both men ran from the premises with the bags and were chased for a short distance by the owner.
They were last seen heading across Brown Road, and up an alley that leads to Beltana Avenue, Bonnyrigg.
A crime scene was established and an investigation was commenced.
Investigators from Metropolitan Robbery Unit have now released footage and would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or who may have information that can assist, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
One of the men depicted wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, black pants and black/white sneakers, carrying two green bags and a machete.
The second man is depicted wearing blue shorts, a black/grey hooded jacket, and black/white sneakers, carrying a machete.
