Police are searching for a man driving a dark blue sedan with NSW number plates following an attempted robbery this morning at Elizabeth North.
Just before 7am a woman was at the Elizabeth North Shopping Centre on Woodford Road, when a man wearing a mask and armed with crowbar attempted to steal the woman’s handbag.
The suspect described as a Caucasian man about 20-25 years-old wearing a black hooded top and red and black bandana around his face, fled empty handed and was last seen driving off in a dark blue SVU with NSW number plates.
The same vehicle is believed to have been involved in a petrol drive-off last night in the Elizabeth area.
The woman was not physically injured in the ordeal.
