25 August 2015 – Armed Robbery – Bottle Shop – Goodna

Detectives have charged a 21-year-old woman following the alleged armed robbery of a bottle shop on Smiths Road in Goodna this afternoon.

It will be alleged at around 4:15pm a woman entered the business armed with a knife, threatening a male shop assistant before leaving the premises with a quantity of alcohol and a sum of cash.

Police commenced patrols of the area and located the woman nearby a short time later.

The male shop assistant was not physically injured during the incident.

A 21-year-old woman from Redbank has been charged with one count of armed robbery and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow, August 26.
