Police have released CCTV as part of their investigation into an armed robbery in Sydney’s south-west last week.

About 9pm last Tuesday (25 August 2015), a man armed with a knife has entered a Asian grocery store at Granville, and threatened the 59-year-old male owner, demanding cash.

The owner backed away from the man, before attempting to disarm him. The man fled the store empty handed.

No one was injured.

Police were alerted to the incident the following day (Wednesday 26 August 2015), and an investigation was commenced.

Detectives from Rosehill Local Area Command have released CCTV depicting a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is depicted as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early 20s, of thin build, and clean shaven. He is wearing a dark baseball hat, sunglasses, a white hooded jumper, dark pants, and white and black joggers.
