2 September 2015 – Armed Robbery – Sports Club – Tingalpa

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a sports club in Tingalpa last night.
Initial information suggests around 9.45pm, three men entered the sports club on Boundary Street through the front entrance and threatened a female staff member.
Two of the men were armed, one with what is believed to be a firearm and another with a small axe. The men demanded the woman lay down and then removed a sum of cash from the front counter and an adjoining office.
The men then left the scene in a vehicle and were believed to have headed south on Boundary Street.
The staff member was not physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.
