Police are investigating following an armed robbery at a hotel in Smithtown last night.
About 9pm (Sunday 9 September 2015), a 57-year-old man had closed a hotel on Fitzgerald Avenue and was finalising the closing procedures when he heard noise coming from the front of the premises.
Police have been told three males forced entry into the building, two armed with knives, and one armed with a crow bar.
The trio threatened the man and demanded money, before pushing the employee into a separate room and running from the scene, taking cash.
The employee was uninjured and contacted police.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
As they continue their inquiries, police would like to speak to three males who may be able to assist them.
One is described as being about 183cm tall, and was seen wearing a dark-grey hooded top with black sleeves, long dark pants and dark gloves.
The second male is described as being about 168cm tall, and was seen wearing all black clothing.
The third male is described as being shorter than the other two males, and was wearing dark clothing, a hooded top with a bright green motif on the front.
