Alice Springs Police are seeking information or witnesses to a robbery in Alice Springs overnight.

Police already have two men in custody in relation to the incident at a service station on Spearwood Road, Sadadeen about 7:30pm.

It is alleged that two men robbed the console operator after threatening him with a knife. They left the service station on foot, but were soon after seen getting into a red Madza 323 sedan on Spearwood Road.

“We are very keen to speak to the driver of a white Holden Commodore that came through the drive-through during the incident, and also any members of the community who may have seen a small red car being driven erratically in the Grevillea Drive, Sadadeen Road and Stott Terrace areas as well as the Alice Springs CBD,” Superintendent Travis Wurst said.

“Police also have information to suggest there may have been other people in the vehicle after the robbery.  Although these people are yet be identified, they are not considered to have been involved in the robbery but may be potential witnesses to the events after the robbery.”
