Three men have been arrested by Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives in relation to the alleged robbery of a Sydney CBD bank in May this year.

About 12.20pm on Wednesday 13 May 2015, two men with their faces disguised allegedly entered the bank on Elizabeth Street, Sydney, and confronted staff.

They escaped with a sum of cash into a van parked nearby which was driven from the area by a third man.

Detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad have been investigating the incident and arrested two men, aged 47 and 33, at their homes in Villawood and Ashfield early on Friday 18 September 2015.

A third man, aged 28 from Marrickville, was arrested after a foot pursuit at Riverwood later that morning.

The three men were each charged with robbery in company. They appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday where they were each refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Thursday 24 September 2015.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
