Police investigating a robbery at Maryborough on September 20 have charged two people.

Just after 5pm, it will be alleged a man entered the Lennox Street convenience store and threatened the female shop assistant with a knife while demanding money.

After taking cash the man ran from the store and was last seen on Albert Street.

The shop assistant was not physically injured.

A 38-year-old Tinana woman and a 26-year-old Maryborough man have been charged with one count each of armed robbery.

Both are due to appear in the Maryborough Magistrates Court tomorrow.
