A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery in Junee earlier this year.

About 10.20pm on Monday 27 April 2015, a man armed with a knife entered the Illabo Road service station and demanded money from the console operator.

The man escaped with a quantity of cash and there were no reports of injury.

Following inquiries, on Wednesday 29 April 2015, police arrested and charged a 20-year-old man with robbery whilst armed.

After further inquiries, police yesterday (Tuesday 29 September 2015), attended Junee Correctional Facility where they arrested a separate 21-year-old man.

The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he was charged with robbery whilst armed (principal in the second degree).

He was refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court tomorrow (1 October 2015).
