Yarra Ranges Crime Investigation Unit detectives have received additional information regarding a burglary at a Yarra Glen service station where an automatic teller machine was stolen on Tuesday.
Police believe that offenders reversed a Nissan Patrol 4×4 into the front glass doors of the Bell Street premises just before 4am.
Once inside the premises, they hooked up the ATM and drove away.
Debris from the ATM was found scattered along Bell Street.
It is believed a B Double truck may have been travelling behind the Nissan Patrol, which had sparks coming from the vehicle, along Healesville-Yarra Glen Road.
The truck is not believed to have been involved in the incident but police would like to speak to the driver who may have further information.
The truck is described as a B Double with a bonnet which was towing a short trailer behind the cab and a longer trailer behind, both had faded green coloured sides.
