9 October 2015 – Arrest – Handbag Snatch – Elizabeth Interchange

Police will allege the man assaulted a woman and stole her handbag as she was leaving the Elizabeth Interchange on Elizabeth Way about 10am on Thursday 1 October.

The woman sustained minor injuries during the incident.

As part of the investigation, police seized and released CCTV of the incident to the public yesterday.  Following a quick response by the public, the suspect was identified and arrested last night.

A 19-year-old Elizabeth Downs man was arrested by Elizabeth CIB detectives and charged with aggravated robbery.  He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
