Police are investigating after a chemist in South Hurstville was robbed at knifepoint last night.
Just before 9pm (Thursday 8 October 2015), a man entered the chemist on King Georges Road, armed with a knife.
Officers have been told he threatened the female attendant and demanded cash.
She complied and he was last seen running along Tavistock Road.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
Police from St George Local Area Command were notified of the robbery about 11am today (Friday 9 October 2015) and have commenced an investigation.
The man – who had his face partially obscured – is described as possibly being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, aged somewhere between 20 and 40, and was wearing a grey hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and black shoes.
