Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this evening in Northgate.

Initial information suggests that at around 7pm, a man entered a service station on Toombul Road and approached a male attendant.

The man held his hand inside his pocket and demanded the attendant hand over cash, when the attendant complied, the man then fled the business.

He was last seen on foot heading south on Melton Road wearing a dark hooded jumper, dark trousers and his mouth was covered.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

Investigations are continuing.
