Police have commenced inquiries after a man was injured during an attempted armed robbery at Lansvale.
Just before 6.30pm (Friday 30 October 2015), two men entered a ceramics store on the Hume Highway armed with metal bars.
The pair confronted the owner, a 51-year-old man, and demanded money.
The man was assaulted with the metal bars when he refused their demands.
They fled empty-handed and were last seen getting into a vehicle which was parked nearby.
Police were alerted and officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The owner was taken to Liverpool Hospital with serious head injuries.
An investigation is underway and police are appealing for public assistance to identify the men.
They’re both described as being of Asian appearance.
One of the men was wearing a black hooded jumper, light pants and a white baseball cap. The second man was wearing a brown jacket with a black t-shirt underneath and a white baseball cap.
