A man is assisting with inquiries following an alleged ‘glassing’ at a restaurant in Cabramatta last night.

About 10.30pm (Saturday 31 October 2015), emergency services were called to the restaurant on Hughes Street, following reports of an altercation.

At the location, a 62-year-old man, who is a security guard at the restaurant, was found suffering a number of lacerations to his neck and face.

He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 25-year-old-man was also treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with lacerations to his hands.

Initial investigations suggest an altercation took place between the two men, after the younger man was asked to leave the restaurant.

During the altercation, the younger man allegedly smashed a glass and stabbed the 62-year-old man.

The 25-year-old man was later released from hospital. He was taken to Cabramatta Police Station, where he is currently assisting with inquiries
