Police continue to appeal for information following an armed robbery in Sydney’s CBD last month.

About 9pm on Wednesday 7 October 2015, a 24-year-old woman was attempting to deposit cash at an ATM on George Street, Haymarket, when she was approached by an unknown man.

Police have been told he grabbed the money from her hand and held an object with a black handle, believed to be a stun gun, to the woman’s chest.

The woman felt an electric shock and saw light coming from the object.

The man ran from the scene towards Central Railway Station.

Police from Sydney City Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics treated the 24-year-old woman at the scene for two minor burn marks to her chest.

As inquires continue, police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with their investigation.

The man depicted in the footage is described as being of Asian appearance, 175cm tall, with a slim build, and short straight black hair.
