Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Chippendale earlier this year.
Shortly before midnight on Thursday 2 April 2015, two men, one armed with a large kitchen knife, entered the store.
The pair, one described as tall with a large/obese build, the other with a smaller “skinny” build, threatened the employee, demanding cash.
The male employee complied and handed over a bag to the “skinny” man which he took and ran from the store.
Police have been told once outside, he looked in the bag and realised it contained nothing of value.
He re-entered the store and told his co-offender. Both men threatened the employee, again demanding money.
The employee handed the men an amount of cash and they ran from the store heading down Cleveland Street and into a side street where it’s believed they got into a Subaru and left the area.
The armed man has been described as having a tanned complexion, 165cm tall with a “skinny” build; at the time was wearing a red shirt with black pants and had his face covered.
The second man has been described as having a tanned complexion with a large build and is about 175cm tall. He has dark bruising or a birthmark shadowing on his right cheek, and at the time of the robbery he was wearing a dark hooded jumper and dark track pants with white stripe running down the outside of each leg. He also had his face covered.
