Two men have been arrested after a robbery at a convenience store in Adelaide last week left a worker with a serious injury.

Police will allege that just after 1am on Thursday 29 October, a man entered a convenience store on Rundle Street, and allegedly stole items.

When the staff member confronted him and another man outside, the men allegedly assaulted the worker. He received a serious injury to his ear during the altercation and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

A 21-year-old man from Glandore has been charged with aggravated robbery, while a 22-year-old man from Warradale has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm.

Both men will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 12 January.
