Two men have been charged following investigations into an armed robbery at a western Sydney pub at the weekend.
About 10.40am (Sunday 8 November 2015) two men entered the premises on Rooty Hill Road, Plumpton; one armed with a pistol, and the other a knife.
Staff at the premises were threatened by the pair, before the men were seen leaving in a blue-coloured Subaru station wagon, taking cash.
Officers from Mt Druitt Local Area Command were called and established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers.
About 10.15am yesterday (Monday 9 November 2015), police executed a search warrant on a home at Seven Hills.
Two 26-year-old men were arrested a short time later. One was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station the other to Blacktown Police Station.
Both were charged with armed robbery and refused bail, one is due to appear in Blacktown Local Court while the other is due to appear in Mt Druitt Local Court today (Tuesday 10 November 2015).
