Police are appealing for information following an attempted armed robbery at a ceramics store at Lansvale last month.
About 6.30pm (Friday 30 October 2015), a 51-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were working behind a counter in the store on the Hume Highway, when two males entered, both armed with poles.
Police have been told the pair threatened the man and woman, before the man in the store was struck on the head.
The injured man attempted to flee, before he was assaulted a number of times.
The pair fled the scene, empty handed, and were last seen running towards Longfield Street, then possibly getting into a car.
The injured man was treated at the scene for a large cut to his head and bruising. The woman was uninjured.
Officers attached to Cabramatta Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to two males who may be able to assist them.
One is described as being of Asian appearance, and was seen wearing a black zip-up jacket with a white logo on the upper left side, light-coloured pants, black and white shoes, and a white baseball cap.
The second male is described as being of Asian appearance, with a white zip-up jacket, light-coloured pants, black and white shoes with a white baseball cap.
