9 November 2015 – Armed Robbery – Newsagency – Charters Towers

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Charters Towers yesterday.
Just after 8pm a man armed with a knife entered a Gill Street news agency and made demands for cash. A male staff member complied with demands and the offender fled the store on foot with a sum of money.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian, about 30 years of age, approximately 177cm tall, with short blonde hair and a muscular build.
