Police are investigating petrol drive-offs in Melton last month.
A man attended a High Street service station where he filled up a silver Hyundai with fuel on 10 and 15 October.
He has then driven off in the vehicle, displaying allegedly stolen number plates, without paying.
Investigators have released images of the vehicle and a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
