Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery in Narromine yesterday.

About 5.45am (Sunday 22 November 2015), an unknown male armed with a machete approached the front door of a business on Warren Road.

Police have been told he yelled at employees to let him in, but left empty handed, when he was unable to gain access through the locked door.

It’s believed he left the scene in a white Holden Commodore near Third Avenue and Fifth Avenue.

Officer from Orana Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170cm tall, with a thin build, wearing grey pants, a green hooded jumper and wearing a balaclava.
