Police have charged a man following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a hotel at Blacktown last year.

Just after 2am on Friday 31 October 2014, a man entered the hotel on Kildare Road allegedly armed with a firearm.

The man, who had his face concealed, approached and allegedly threatened three staff members while demanding money and fled with a large sum of cash.

The hotel was closed at the time of the incident and no one was injured.

Detectives from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and commenced Strike Force Vogelsang to investigate the incident.

On Tuesday 1 November 2015, officers arrested a 37-year-old man at Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.

He appeared before Wagga Local Court yesterday and was remanded to appear before Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday 8 December 2015.
