Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel in Mackay early this morning.
Around 2.20am, the male offender has forced entry to the hotel and confronted the two female victims who were performing closing duties.
The male offender was in possession of a shorten firearm and pointed this at both victims, before demanding the victims collect money from the poker machines and safes.
During the incident the male offender has assaulted one of the victims. The male offender has then left the premises with a sum of money.
The male offender is described as Caucasian, 180cm to 185cm tall and of average build, wearing a camouflage outfit, gloves and black shoes.
