Police are investigating the theft of an ATM during the break and enter of a club in Parkes overnight.

Just after 2.30am (Wednesday 6 January 2016), entry was forced to a club on Cecile Street.

A white utility was seen to leave the club immediately after the break-in.

The club’s alarm system was triggered and when security personnel attended a short time later, they noticed an ATM had been removed from a wall inside the premises.

The matter was reported to officers from Lachlan Local Area Command, who established a crime scene that was examined by specialist forensic officers.

The ATM has since been located at a tip in Gunningbland – about 30km west of Parkes.

Detectives are investigating the matter and would like to speak to anyone who has information that may assist.
