A teenager has been arrested after he allegedly robbed a Port Augusta service station on Monday morning.

Police will allege that at 6.20am a person armed with a knife entered the Caltex service station on Victoria Parade, threatened staff and demanded money.

The person fled with an amount of cash and was last seen running towards the Willsden area.

The staff member was not physically injured.

A 16-year-old boy from Port Augusta has been charged with aggravated robbery and breach of bail. He will appear in the Port Augusta Youth Court later today.
