Strike force detectives have seized a vehicle as part of their investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a chemist at Castle Hill earlier this week.
A man entered the chemist on the Old Northern Road just before 8.30am on Monday (18 January 2016), after parking outside.
The man confronted the pharmacist and threatened him with a firearm, demanding cash, before fleeing with a sum of money.
Detectives attached to the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad’s (MEOCS) Strike Force Amarina have been investigating the alleged incident.
Following inquiries, detectives executed a search warrant at a Greenacre home about 7.30am today (Thursday 21 January 2016).
There they located and seized a white Mitsubishi Lancer which will undergo forensic testing.
Inquiries by strike force detectives are continuing and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
Strike Force Amarina was formed by MEOCS in July 2015 to investigate criminal activity in Sydney’s inner and south west.
