Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two men following an armed robbery in Clayton South earlier this week.
Shortly before midnight on 25 January, two men attended a bottle shop on Centre Road wearing balaclavas.
The two men, who were armed with a machete and an axe, then demanded money from the attendant.
After taking a quantity of cash and bottles of alcohol, the two men then left the area on foot, running along Centre Road and down Melaleuca Drive.
One of the men managed to fall over on Melaleuca Drive, smashing the bottles of alcohol.
No staff members were injured during the incident.
Detectives from Kingston Crime Investigation Unit are investigating the armed robbery and have released images and footage of two men they wish to speak to.
The first man is described as being perceived to be of African appearance, tall with a slim build.
At the time he was wearing a white business shirt, dark trousers and black, high-top runners with white soles.
The second man is described as being perceived to be of Caucasian appearance and shorter than the first man.
At the time he was wearing a hooded jumper, dark baggy pants and black Nike runners with white soles.
Police are also investigating whether this incident is linked to a previous armed robbery which occurred at a fast food restaurant on the South Gippsland Highway, Hampton Park about 1.15am on 25 January.
