A man will face court tomorrow charged over an armed robbery on the Central Coast.
About 2.25pm on Friday (29 January 2016), a man armed with a black pistol entered a financial institution on the Pacific Highway, Lake Munmorah, and threatened staff, demanding cash.
Staff complied with the demands, handing over cash before the man ran from the location.
No one was injured.
Police from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
Officers conducted a search of the area and arrested a 52-year-old man at the intersection of Ivy and Scaysbrook Avenues, Chain Valley Bay.
During a search of the man, police allegedly located cash.
Further inquiries led officers to bushland on the Pacific Highway, Lake Munmorah, where they allegedly located a replica pistol and bag containing cash.
The Chain Valley Bay man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.
He has been bail refused to reappear at Wyong Local Court tomorrow (Monday 1 February 2016).
