Police are investigating an armed robbery at a service station in Croydon last night.
About 11.50pm (Friday 5 February 2016), a man entered the service station on Liverpool Road.
He allegedly approached the male attendant and threatened him with a small metallic object, not further described, and demanded money before fleeing with an amount of cash.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
Police from Ashfield Local Area Command arrived a short time later and conducted an extensive a patrol of the area, however the man could not be found.
A crime scene was established and investigated by specialist forensic officers.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and police would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, in his mid to late 20s, about 180 to 185cm tall, with a skinny build and wearing dark clothing, with a grey cap.
Police are investigating whether the armed robbery is linked to two armed robberies in Canterbury and Ashfield on Thursday (4 February 2016).
