A 20-year-old man is facing court today after five robberies in two days across Sydney.

Strike Force Klea, comprising detectives from the Metropolitan Robbery Unit, was established to investigate robberies at Hurlstone Park, Croydon (x2), Bexley and Sydenham. It is alleged the robberies occurred between 2am on 4 February and 11.45pm on 5 February.

Cash and cigarettes were taken on each occasion. No one was injured

Last night, a 20-year-old Auburn man attended Kings Cross Police Station and was arrested.

He has since been charged with assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon, demand property with menaces with intent to steal (x2), robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon and robbery.

The 20-year-old was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court later today (Monday 8 February 2016).
