Police have released CCTV footage as inquiries continue into an attempted armed robbery in St Clair at the weekend.
Just before 9.30pm on Saturday (13 February 2016), two armed men entered a fast food restaurant on Banks Drive, St Clair.
Police have been told one of the men, armed with a mallet, demanded money from a female employee, before hitting her.
Both men left the scene empty-handed.
They were last seen running on St Clair Avenue.
The female employee was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment for a minor wound to the forehead.
Officers from St Marys Local Area Command launched an investigation into the incident.
A crime scene was established and an extensive search of the surrounding area was conducted; however, no one was located.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing and police have now released CCTV vision of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation.
Both men are described as being of thin to medium build; the first man is depicted wearing dark clothing, while the second man is shown wearing denim shorts, a black hooded-jumper and black sneakers.
Anyone who knows the identity of either man, or has any information that could assist investigators, is urged to come forward.
