Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted armed robbery at a service station in Wee Waa.

About 5.30pm (Sunday 14 February 2016), a female with her face covered, entered a service station in Rose Street, Wee Waa.

She produced a silver hand gun and demanded money from the till.

An employee refused the demands and the women left the location empty-handed.

Officers attached to Barwon Local Area Command attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, invesitigators are appealing for any one who may have witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward.
