A 21-year-old Rochedale South man will appear in court tomorrow following investigations into seven armed robberies across the Logan area since May last year.

It is alleged the man produced a large hunting knife at a liquor store in Rochedale on May 27, a Springwood business on June 30, a Rochedale South convenience store on September 4, a liquor store at Underwood on October 23, a chemist at Springwood on January 13 and a petrol station at Rochedale on January 25.

It will further be alleged the man entered a Springwood sandwich store on Rochedale Road and produced a machete shortly after 10pm on February 10.

It is alleged the man then made demands for cash from the male attendant, who complied, and the man then fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery, and the man was last seen leaving the business on foot.

A 21-year-old Rochedale South man has been charged with seven counts of armed robbery and is scheduled to appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.
