Police are investigating following an armed robbery at Port Macquarie early this morning.
About 7am (Tuesday 8 March 2016), a man armed with a knife entered a licensed premises on Ocean Drive, Port Macquarie.
Police have been told the man threatened a staff member and demanded cash.
He then fled the location with a sum of money.
No one was injured.
Officers from Mid North Coast Local Area Crime attended and established a crime scene.
Detectives would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described only as being about 185 to 190cm tall, and of solid build.
As detectives continue their inquiries, police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
