A man has been charged following two armed robberies in Brisbane earlier today.

Around 12.20pm, it will be alleged a man claiming to have a weapon, entered a Main Street, Narangba newsagent and demanded cash.

The attendant complied with the demand and the man left the business with a sum of money.

It will further be alleged at around 12.30pm, a man entered a supermarket on Whitehouse Road at Dakabin and demanded money.

The man allegedly threatened staff, pushing one attendant before stealing cash and products from the business before leaving in a vehicle.

Police located the vehicle and the man a short time later in Petrie.

A 41-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of enter premises to commit an offence, robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and receiving tainted property.

He is scheduled to appear before the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow.
