11 April 2016 – Armed Robbery – Bottle Shop – Hawthorn

Box Hill Embona detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man robbed a bottle shop in Hawthorn tonight.

Officers have been told a man armed with a firearm entered a bottle shop on Auburn Road just after 9.30pm.

The offender threatened the attendant and made demands for cash.

A large amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.

He was wearing a black Adidas hooded jumper with stripes on the sleeves and a blue and white bandana covering his face.

Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
