Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop that occurred in East Brisbane late last night.
Initial investigations indicate that around 11pm, a man entered the Wellington Road business and approached the counter, lifting his hooded jumper to reveal a firearm to the store attendant standing behind the counter.
The man made demands for cash, and the attendant complied.
The man then fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash. It is believed he may have then left on a motorcycle that was seen heading north along Shaftson Avenue.
No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.
The man is described as approximately 170cm tall, aged in his late 20s with a stocky build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white hooded jumper, dark blue jeans, and white shoes.
