25 April 2016 – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Tamborine

Police are investigating after a service station at Tamborine was robbed this afternoon.
Around 4.20pm one of the men entered the front of the Leach Road business.
The second man approached the rear and demanded money from a male employee, through a locked security door.
The employee refused and at this point the man inside the business left and the second man from the rear ran in through the front door.
He jumped on the counter armed with what is described as a cattle prod and removed the till before leaving through the front door.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
