26 April 2016 – Armed Robbery – Motel – Mackay

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a motel on Nebo Road, Mackay last night.
Around 8.40pm, two men entered the reception area of the motel before being approached by a male staff member.
The men confronted the staff member making demands for money. A physical altercation has ensued with one of the men producing a large knife and threatening the staff member.
The staff member handed over a sum of money before the two men fled the scene on foot.
No one was physical injured and police investigations are continuing into the incident.
