A man has been arrested after allegedly robbing a pharmacy in Elizabeth Park this morning.

Just before 10.30am, police were called to the Chemmart store on Yorktown Road after reports that a man armed with a knife had threatened staff before stealing an amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Extra patrols along with Elizabeth CIB officers and dog patrols searched the area, and located the suspect nearby.

A 30-year-old Murray Bridge man was charged with aggravated robbery, and will be refused bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
