Police are investigating after a fast food delivery driver was robbed at Inala last night.

Around 10.20pm the male driver was making a delivery at Kestrel Street when he was approached by a man armed with a knife who demanded cash and the food.

After handing over the food and some cash the man followed the delivery driver back to his car demanding further personal property from him.

A male passenger waiting in the delivery driver’s car challenged the armed man causing him to run towards a nearby car.

The passenger attempted unsuccessfully to prevent the armed man from driving away.

Neither the 20-year-old delivery driver, nor the 27-year-old passenger, were injured.

The man is described as Caucasian, 188cm tall and wearing a black coloured cap.

He was last seen driving away along Parakeet Street in a silver Hyundai Elantra bearing  partial Queensland registration with an ‘8’.
