A man will face court today over the alleged armed robbery of a store in Sydney’s Inner West last month.
Just before 7.00am on Thursday 21 April 2016, officers attached to Marrickville Local Area Command were called to a store on Marrickville Road, Dulwich Hill, after reports of a robbery.
Police have been told two men entered the store, one armed with a firearm, and threatened a staff member and assaulted him.
They fled the location a short time later with cash.
About 10.45am yesterday (Saturday 14 May 2016), detectives from Marrickville Local Area Command attended a home on Truman Ave, Riverwood and arrested a 30-year-old man. He was taken to Campsie Police Station.
Officers executed a search warrant at the property, where they seized items that will now undergo forensic examination.
The man was charged with armed robbery in company and refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 15 May 2016).
