Police today released a computer generated image of a suspect involved in an attempted robbery of a Seacliff supermarket last week.

About 9.45pm on Wednesday 11 May, a man threatened staff with a firearm at the IGA on Brighton Road, Seacliff and demanded money.

The staff member chased the suspect out of the store and he was last seen heading west on Pine Avenue on a black BMX bicycle.

Nothing was stolen and no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid-30s, about 165cm tall, with an olive complexion, short brown hair, wearing a grey hoodie and blue jeans.

Police searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Ink, but were not able to locate the suspect.
