Southern Metro investigators, as a part of Operation Cosmas, are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Narre Warren on Sunday.

It is believed a man and a woman attended a store on Narre Warren North Road in a dark 4WD about 12.50am.

The pair entered the store where the woman approached the counter, produced a knife and made demands for cash, while the man stood watch at the entry of the store.

The victim handed over a quantity of cash and the pair fled the incident in the dark-coloured 4WD which is described as having a bull bar, roof racks and a tyre mounted on the rear.

No one was injured during the incident.

Police have released images of a man and woman they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be of Caucasian appearance with dark hair and aged in his late teens.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a white two-tone long-sleeve top with a black hood, dark-coloured track pants and dark sneakers.

The woman is described as being aged between 18 to 20-years-old and having an olive complexion.

At the time of the incident she was wearing a white hooded top, dark-coloured track pants with a thin vertical stripe and had a scarf or cloth covering her nose and mouth.
