Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a Bell Park pharmacy earlier this evening.

The incident happened at the Hughes Street premises just after 5.30pm when two men forced their way into the pharmacy armed with knives.

The men, both wearing masks, threatened two females attendants and the pharmacist, demanding cash and drugs.

The men were given an amount of money and drugs before they fled from the scene in a silver coloured sedan which had been parked nearby.
