A third male has now been charged with a string of offences after allegedly holding up a number of taxi drivers not only yesterday morning but other drivers during the past month.
A 13-year-old boy from Brunswick was arrested this morning and has been charged with theft and assault with a weapon, theft and attempted robbery.
Two men, a 24-year-old from Broadmeadows and a 16-year-old from Coburg, were both remanded in custody last night charged with two counts each of armed robbery, three counts robbery, two counts attempted robbery and four counts of theft.
The trio were also charged with intentionally and recklessly cause injury, assault with a weapon and seven counts of committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.
The charges relate to 10 separate incidents in the Brunswick area where taxi drivers were allegedly targeted between 5 – 15 June.
It is expected the 24-year-old will appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court and the both teenagers at a Children’s Court today.
