A woman has been charged following an attempted robbery at Mount Pleasant last night.

It will be alleged around 7pm a woman entered a chemist at Grandview drive and produced a knife making demands for medication. The woman then allegedly presented the knife at a second employee and again made the same demand.

The woman fled the store empty handed.

Neither of the employees were physically harmed.

A 20-year-old Mount Pleasant woman has been charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and attempted robbery with violence and is expected to appear at the Mackay Magistrates Court today, June 15.
